There is only one cause for tuberculosis, which is caused by bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Commonest site is lung for tuberculosis.

Everybody has the mycobacterium tuberculae bacteria living in his lungs and is responsible for TB. It is said that there are more than a Billion Billion bacteria living on/inside one human compared to nearlly 7B people on the planet. You will get TB if you get very debilitated like so many elderly and people with AIDS. Note: there are Super Bugs causing TB that you can get from someone carrying it which is why people with TB can get put in quarantine
