Should I be worried about my Tuberculosis Skin Test

Should I be worried about my Tuberculosis Skin Test?
I got the test done and it was checked after 48 hours. I had some redness but no swelling, so the nurse told me my test was negative. I woke up this morning which would be 72 hours and the site is now raised and it is approximately a 1cm or so with swelling and redness.

you need to discuss this with the prescribing medical doctor and your pharmacist the side effects and the drug interactions --especially with the red urine you could have internal bleeding see medical doctor now
2 :
Yes, it is normal for rifampin to color body fluids red or orange. It can discolor your clothing or contact lenses. Here is a site that lists the drug interactions. http://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/rifampin.html Rifampin is a good drug for TB but there are side effects to watch for. A complete description of the drug can be found here: http://www.drugs.com/mtm/rifampin.html

Spreading it around to everyone else....
2 :
Death
3 :
not just death for you but you can spread it to alot of others maybe your loved ones. it is very contagious
4 :
It's spread by airborn droplets very easily, so you're not only putting yourself at risk but everyone else you are around as well.
5 :
positive tb cant kill you but can make you sick at a certain age but active tb can kill and spread threw other people...tell your doctor and they will give you free medicine because some tb are so dangerous it can kill you and spread...
6 :
Untreated TB is harmless if the bacteria is latent. However, if it develops into full-blown TB, then it can be fatal. TB is not just a respiratory disease. Untreated TB can spread throughout your bloodstream, therefore to the rest of your body systems.
7 :
Left untreated your organs get infected and cause damaged - lots of pain. The brain will get damage and even coma - again, lots of pain. Cause paralysis if the spine is infected. Joints will have that arthritic type of pain. The lungs gets the worst of it thus will cause the infected person to have painful coughing constantly. That alone, would enticed that person to see the doctor. Basically - lots of pain, then death. Then there's infecting those who breath the air you breath

Sanatoriums usually. At that time, TB was known as "consumption". http://www.hsl.virginia.edu/historical/medical_history/alav/virginia.cfm
2 :
In addition to the sanatorium system which was started in the states in 1882, the idea of fresh clean air or even arid climates to fight consumption was popular, away from cities. I have heard, though I've not been able to corroborate this, that smoking tobacco was actually used at one point

Everybody has the mycobacterium tuberculae bacteria living in his lungs and is responsible for TB. It is said that there are more than a Billion Billion bacteria living on/inside one human compared to nearlly 7B people on the planet. You will get TB if you get very debilitated like so many elderly and people with AIDS. Note: there are Super Bugs causing TB that you can get from someone carrying it which is why people with TB can get put in quarantine
