Yes, it's possible, but the chances are very small. Unlike other infections (such as bacterial pneumonia), TB bacteria can survive in the patient - without causing symptoms - for many years after treatment. This form of TB is called latent TB. Unfortunately, there is no way for doctors to determine if 100% of the germs have been killed after treatment. Latent TB can sometimes be reactivated in times of severe stress or illness. Reasons for this are unknown. Also, it is possible to be re-infected with TB again. This occurs when patients are exposed to others with active TB. Most cases of recurrent TB in the US are due to new infections vs. reactivation

A cough with thick, cloudy, and sometimes bloody mucus from the lungs (sputum) for more than 2 weeks. Fever, chills, and night sweats. Fatigue and weakness. Loss of appetite and unexplained weight loss. Shortness of breath and chest pain.
2 :
First, anyone can get Tuberculosis. The symptoms are productive cough, general weakness, and night sweats. A simple skin test can determine if she has beene exposed to TB. Second, being overweight and pregnant usually does not cause problems unless she is morbidly obese. Then problems can arise with the heart and blood pressure

I suggest you go to www.mayoclinic.com and use the symptom checker or look up TB under diseases

Every women he ever loved died of it??

Mother: Elizabeth Poe, an actress, died of tuberculosis in 1811. Wife: Poe married his cousin Virginia Clemm when she was 13 years old. After a long bout with tuberculosis, she died in 1847.

Perhaps his feelings of death and loneliness was intensified

I looked up the dates and was surprised to find that his darkest works were written during his marriage to Virginia, rather than after (and as I had supposed, but was wrong) because of her death. The next thing I would look for is the years that Virginia suffered from tuberculosis, because this would have been a period with a sense of impending doom. That could have influenced this period of morbid fascination with death. Poe died about two years after Virginia, on a trip to marry Sarah Elmira Royster. Because of his past (gambling and drinking) it was supposed he had died of alcoholism. More recently, there are doctors who gather to reassess the deaths of famous people. Poe's evaluation included a doctor from India who pointed out that the others on the panel weren't used to seeing cases of human rabies, but in India they still do. He presented a convincing case that Poe's death was due to rabies, which would have been more likely at that time and something we'd tend to not realize as modern people in a developed nation looking at a past event. I simply took the first source for dates: http://www.uncp.edu/home/canada/work/allam/17841865/lit/poe.htm I searched, Poe +tuberculosis

The "Raindrop" Prelude is Op.28 No.15 in D flat major.
2 :
Just thought I would add some points of interest about the "Raindrop Prelude". According to Legend Chopin composed this while staying in an island monastery off the coast of Majorca. The repeating pattern of 1/8 notes throughout this piece are evocative of the driving rain. It was also said that he was living with George Sand (female) at this abandoned monastery. Not sure if all of the above is factual....you know how legends can be! Hope you will listen to and eventually play the "Raindrop Prelude"; it is very emotional to play/hear. All the best, Julian of N

All the names for the Chopin etudes and preludes WERE NOT ASSIGNED TO THESE PIECES BY CHOPIN. We know that a number of the preludes were written while Chopin was in Majorca, where he and Georges Sand and her children had traveled to hopefully escape the cold damp Paris winter. All that is certain is Chopin was able to work on SOME preludes. We are not certain which ones. Prelude Op 28, No. 15 in D flat Major is given the name of 'raindrop' because of its moderate tempo repeated pitch eighth notes prominent throught the piece. It sounds rather 'happy' or sweet for a piece supposedly composed under the depressing effect of continual cold damp weather. The piece has a 'sturm und drang' (storm and stress) section which again returns to the main and fairly sweet material which makes up the rest of this piece. The weather was constantly rainy and not a dramatic rainstorm. Mediterranean winter rainy season has a type of rain which is a constant drizzle that runs off the eaves of a building; drip, drip, drip. Continuing drizzling rain running unbroken for days on end is enough to get anyones nerves. Many musicologists think the better candidate to be assigned this (supposed) inspiration of rain is the Prelude op.28, No. 6, in B minor (lento assai). Here, the melody is in the left hand, and the treble has an insistent one-pitch figuration of repeated eighth notes phrased in twos, with an accent on the first of each pair. This treble figure has an obssessive feel and quality, and it can be heard as Drip - drip / Drip - drip / Drip - drip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7j7ziRV_38 ALL the given names for the pieces of the Chopin Opus 28 ARE CORRUPT, which is reason enough not to use them. (Chopin hated all the sentimental affectations which were common in the society and the arts of his day and had no patience for them.) These names, given by editors, critics and the public, are arbitrary, therefore a wild stab at what the composer may or may not have been thinking. They stick because many people are not willing to commit "No. 15 D-flat Major" to memory. The names are not generally used among informed musicians. [[ from the Wikipedia article on Chopin: Chopin himself never named an instrumental work beyond genre and number, leaving all potential extra-musical associations to the listener; the names by which we know many of the pieces were invented by others. ]] This is like one person saying, "I'll call you Sally, because I can't remember your given name." A bit of research about where these names came from, and the continued mistake of the public believing any of the names mean anything or can actually be attributed to one emotion or incident might make a very impressive brief essay for school. best regards

Transmission Tuberculosis is a contagious, airborne bacterial infection. It is NOT considered a waterborne disease. A patient with pulmonary tuberculosis can spread bacilli when exhaling, coughing, sneezing, talking or spitting. Infection occurs when these bacilli are inhaled by a susceptible human. Waterborne bacterial disease do include such as: Bacterial infections Botulism - Clostridium botulinum bacteria - gastro-intestinal food/water borne; can grow in food Campylobacteriosis Cholera - Vibrio cholerae bacteria - gastro-intestinal often waterborne Chronic granulomatous disease - caused by the Mycobacterium marinum infection and localized in skin, frequently occurred with aquarium keepers.[3] Diarrheal disease due to E. coli. Dysentery - Shigella/Salmonella bacteria - gastro-intestinal food/water Legionellosis - cause Pontiac fever and Legionnaires' disease Leptospirosis- Otitis externa- "Swimmer's Ear" Typhoid - Salmonella typhi bacteria - gastro-intestinal water/food borne. Salmonellosis - due to many Salmonella species. Water/food/direct contact borne. Vibrio illness caused by the bacteria of Vibrio vulnificus, Vibrio alginolyticus and Vibrio parahaemolyticus commonly found in seafood and recreational water.[4] Enough ? In Afghanistan, tuberculosis is a major public health burden. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) Global TB Report 2006, Afghanistan ranks 17th among the 22 high-burden TB countries worldwide. Approximately 95,000 new TB cases occur annually in Afghanistan, and 26,000 people in the country die from TB every year. The TB situation in Afghanistan is different from most other countries in that it primarily affects women. In 1997, Afghanistan's National TB Control Program (NTP) adopted Directly Observed Therapy, Short-Course (DOTS). By the end of 2002, the country reported 38 percent DOTS coverage. However, TB services were predominantly provided by a patchwork of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and government health facilities, with little regional coordination or support. DOTS detection rates remain low at 19 percent, far from the WHO global targets of 70 percent case detection. However, treatment success among the cases detected are high (86 percent), achieving the WHO global targets
