A very close friend has been diagnosed with Latent Tuberculosis, what are the chances of my family&I having it
We just found out that he has Latent TB and he has been knowing for a couple of months already. He comes around a lot and my husband and I have a 3 year old son and he is around all 3 of us. What are the possibilities of us having the disease? If anyone has any knowledge on this topic, please help!

no, its ok! someone with latent TB cannot spread the disease, and does not have symptoms of the disease. you couldn't have caught it from him even if he coughed all over your house! :)
2 :
Fortunately, a person with latent TB cannot spread the infection. However, latent TB can become active, and then it can be spread. Your family will be safe as long as your friend stays away whenever he has a cough.
3 :
Latent TB is NOT contagious It means your body has been exposed to TB causing your immune system to contain it. It will stay contained unless something happens to cause your immune system to be compromised. He only has a 5% chance of ever developing the disease (active TB) in his lifetime. If he has HIV the chances go up to 10%. Most TB is not easy to catch anyway and usually is spread between people who have constant close contact like families

first link = images search results seconf link = Mycobacterium tuberculosis is a well-equipped intracellular pathogen as evidenced by its natural ability to adapt and reside within the human macrophage phagosome and to persist within the human host for many years. with pictures and more
2 :
Not clear what it is you really want. What is it you don't get? A diagram of the bacterium itself or the sequence of how it acts on the body. For a sequence, click on this: http://www.histopathology-india.net/Tuberculosis.htm And for a "diagram", look for anatomic structure of the bacteria

when you get vaccinated against tuberculosis

when you get vaccinated against tuberculosis?
when you get vaccinated against tuberculosis, what do you get injected with, and what does it do? e.g antibiotics, white blood cells, etc

The Tuberculosis vaccine is a live attenuated (removed pathogenicity) strain derived from Mycobacterium bovis. This allows you body to develop an immunity to M. bovis, which is highly similar to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the causative bacterium of Tuberculosis. So basically you are injected with a harmless bacterium which is highly similar to the harmful one your try to vaccinate against. This allows your body to develop defenses for this bacterium, and will increase the response time and power upon exposure to the bacterium

Does tuberculosis contribute to lung cancer

Does tuberculosis contribute to lung cancer?
if a person had tuberculosis in their 20s and was a smooker is it easier to get lung cancer say later in life or would chances of getting cancer would be lower just smoking. what does tuberculosis does to the lung that can help cancer develop?

1 :
its that, tb can be due to chillness during winter...but if the person continues to smoke....he has high risks of getting cancer...he's 100% prone to cancer
2 :
Any damage to the lungs may lead to infection in later life. Its the infection that may cause cancer if left untreated for too long.
3 :
I would be concerned about the tobacco smoking FAR MORE than the history of tuberculosis as far as risk of lung cancer. Smoking is clearly the greatest risk factor for lung cancer. No other risk factor comes close
