Is it safe to take L-Glutatahione while taking anti-tuberculosis drugs?
Since taking Anti-tuberculosis drugs may damage the liver. Is it OK to take glutathione supplement? Does it help? Just want to ask your opinion before talking to my doctor. Thanks

Whoa.....it is not the best idea to be asking a question like this to the general internet population. You should consult a doctor or pharmacist, for your own health and safety. You still might want information from other people who have tried this, but you should not mix any kind of drugs without first consulting a health professional.

One old famous anti-tubercular is isoproniazid. It is, I believe, an MAO inhibitor, making it an anti-depressant as well. With MAOIs you must be very careful not to take anything incompatible, including certain foods. Regardless of what drug you are taking for tuberculosis, you should not take anything else without consulting both your Doctor and Pharmacist. Aside from damaging organs, you wouldn't want to impair the efficacy of the drug! Solicit as many opinions as possible. Some medical pros will brush off a question, rather than risk having patients lose confidence. This behavior is defensible because in the long-run it is better for them to keep patient confidence rather than having people running all over health food stores buying the wrong snake-oil. Copy the PDR entry for your meds. Work on it until you understand what is written there
