Why would a doctor give a patient with pulmonary tuberculosis calcium?
I am just reviewing for a test and wondering why a patient with pulmonary tuberculosis would need calcium during therapy?

To promote calcium deposits at infected tissue which can cause calcifications of the lesions and promote the healing process.
2 :
To bottle up the little buggers in little limestone tombs. Kind of like "The Cask of Amontillado" for tuberculosis
