A positive TB test will be 48 plus hours after, red, raised, soar and inflammed. If you got it within 24 hours and its a little puffy and irritated, don't freak out! Just wait for the three days, and have it read by a nurse. IF it is positive they will put you on some drugs, do a chest x ray, and that is it...don't stress......RN

it varies just as long as its raised like a little bubble underneath your skin. In 24 hours they look to see if any discoloration or any other problems occur with it.

A positive result is a raised and red spot. If you are negative there will be nothing noticeable at all. If you appear to be positive, don't freak out yet. Lots of people carry the virus dormantly and cannot pass it on, nor get the symptoms. Notify your doctor right away and they will do a chest x-ray.
