Does tuberculosis contribute to lung cancer?
if a person had tuberculosis in their 20s and was a smooker is it easier to get lung cancer say later in life or would chances of getting cancer would be lower just smoking. what does tuberculosis does to the lung that can help cancer develop?

its that, tb can be due to chillness during winter...but if the person continues to smoke....he has high risks of getting cancer...he's 100% prone to cancer

Any damage to the lungs may lead to infection in later life.Its the infection that may cause cancer if left untreated for too long.

I would be concerned about the tobacco smoking FAR MORE than the history of tuberculosis as far as risk of lung cancer. Smoking is clearly the greatest risk factor for lung cancer. No other risk factor comes close
