not really... but it could mean that.. i would wait until he had it checked by a nurse to start freaking out..

If he has a bump, he is probably positive. Any size bump is a positive result, especially if it's reddish. He will go back in 48-72 hours for the doctor to look at it - so don't worry yet. But I know that a negative result is completely flat. If he DOES have TB, he will take medication for 9 months, and he will test positive for the rest of his life, even if the disease will be completely out of his system - a bump is not a normal reaction to a TB test, and if he has a bump after one day, chances are that it will get bigger in the next 2 days when he will have to go back to the doctor.

nope. unless the bump is more than an inch in diameter it is a completely normal reaction to the test.

not necessarily because u could have got water around it or something. Dont Worry. ur probably o.k!!!!!!!

Not necessarily. A person can have a positive Mantoux test but not have tuberculosis. If a person was exposed but didn't develop an active case of the disease their body would still react to the antigen in the test. However, he might have tuberculosis. Wait until the spot is checked by a medical professional. They will measure the size of the spot and how much it is raised up from the surrounding skin to decide if he has a positive test. If he does, then further testing will be indicated to see if he requires treatment
