Tuberculosis (TB) has NOT been eradicated either in totality or nearly. It may appear to be so, because there is much more testing and better treatment for the disease. While the prevalence of the disease has been brought down, people who are infected with it are caught with it in earlier stages making treatment more effective. TB is still a virulent disease needing swift and long term treatment if you should happen to get it
